The Sweeps Regatta is a set of sail boat races sailed out of SSYC on the Shrewsbury River and MBC on the Navesink River in the first full week of August. It is open to junior sailors from 6 nearby boat clubs, including River Rats. Although Sweeps tends to have around 100 entries, it is geared towards sailors new to racing. Advanced sailors in the River Rats Junior Sailing are encouraged to attend, and intermediate sailors are permitted to attend. You don‘t have to decide today, and can always change your mind during the sailing season.
Registration is required, but with this year‘s Sweeps website, not with River Rats.
